Chi no megumi
A velvety texture to fully bring out the inherent umami of the rice
Winner of a Gold Medal in The Fine Sake Awards Japan 2019 and a Gold Medal in the Oneuchi Atsukan (Good Value, Hot Sake) category of the Japan Kan Sake Award 2017. This junmai sake is Chiba-made using the Gohyakumangoku variety cultivated by contract rice producers in Shisui-machi and Yachimata City. The water used for the mashing process is drawn from underground and combined with only rice and koji to create the fermentation mash. Enjoy the umakuchi (mild with elements of umami) junmai sake characterized by a velvety texture that brings out the inherent umami components of the rice coupled with a firm, flavorful taste.
